Beck Kramer is a native of the Chicago area and graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2004, with a focus in Drawing. While there she contributed to SAIC's monthly print publication, FNews, and self-published in (very) small runs the graphic novella Somewhere in the Middle and the first issue of Ghost of the Windriders. She was a part of the Around the Coyote art festival in 2006. She is currently working on a graphic novel writen by Devin Hylton and a rewrite of GotW.

Beck has also worked as an illustrator for Drs. Steve Goodman and Larry Heaney of the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, IL for the past several years.
